Capitol Hill Day
Wednesday, April 6, 2011
Here is your chance to really take a part in government!
Be a voice of 4-H and represent the over 7 million 4-H members just like you!!!
Capitol Hill Day at the National 4-H Conference is time for you to visit with your elected representatives in Congress and to educate members and their staffs about 4-H programs and their impact on communities across the country. The meetings on Capitol Hill will be a critical opportunity to share with Congress how 4-H members are making contributions and helping to meet growing social needs in their communities, their country and their world. We hope every state will join in this coordinated day of meetings on Capitol Hill to inform Congress about the work performed by 4-H members, educators and adult volunteers in every district in America.
Each delegation is responsible for scheduling appointments with their Senators and Representatives before arriving to the Conference.
Schedule -
Capitol Hill Day begins with breakfast at the Conference Center. Delegations will then load buses and travel to the US Capitol to start their day of congressional visits (approximately 9:30am).
Note: Delegations are responsible for their own Capitol Hill activities/schedules and lunch during the day.
